Our team of engineers and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) professionals work together to identify energy loss and imminent system failure in vacuum systems, gas and liquid delivery systems, electrical systems and other process equipment.

Tracer Gas Injection with Leak Finder® Detection

Hard to find leaks don't need to be so. Our team uses tracer gas injection method with Leak Finder® Detection for pinpointing challenging leaks of all types from lines, components, and complex systems. A tracer gas of helium is introduced into the system so leaks can be found easily using Leak Finder® tracing devices for quantification. We have extensive experience around the globe and with various systems to ensure the most expedient, thorough, and professional execution in finding leaks. AES is field-proven in the following applications:
  • Vacuum Systems
  • Condenser Air & Water Tubes
  • Heat Exchangers
  • Steam Circuits
  • Underground Pressured Power Cables
  • Turbine Components
  • Alternator Cooling Circuits
  • Subsurface Lines & Systems
  • Process Equipment

Process Equipment & Vacuum Systems

Helium is the best choice of tracer gas to find leaks in a vacuum system since it is non-toxic, and non-flammable, and has a small atomic size. To locate a leak, helium is administered to the suspected leak sites and passes easily through leaks that are detected downstream with a portable Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector (MSLD). Vacuum systems should be leak tested under the same conditions as their operational conditions.

  • Condenser water tube leaks
  • Heat Exchangers
  • Natural Gas Piping
  • Turbine Components
  • Alternator Cooling Circuits
